I am challenging everyone in the Same Gender Loving Community to take accountability for your spiritual being, by empowering yourself and showing the rest of society that being a Same Gender Loving person is not about sex. We are intelligent, spiritual individuals that has been grossly misunderstood and treated as society’s outcast; because of that we sometimes act-out as if we really are castoffs. When you learn to embrace the love of Christ and walk with a God- conscience you will not feel and have the need to play-yourself into the hands of sexual promiscuity which seems to perpetuate itself in our community.
My intent is to dispel the prejudicial rhetoric of the traditional, homophobic, antiquated interpretations of the scriptures that is being taught as a staple in this society as the way that God thinks. When you read those few scriptures in the bible that are used so divisively, if you read them historically correct and in the proper context of the subject matter (I implore you to scroll down and thoroughly read the postings entitled “Is There Really Scriptural Validity in calling Homosexuality a Sin?”) you will clearly see how the interpretations of the bible has been skewed to inflict an undue burden on some of God’s favored children. I really believe that this is our life’s challenge; to weather the storm of being ostracized and scandalized and still rise above and see God’s uncommon steadfast love.

I totally disagree. I never seen in the bible where God promises or blesses the union of SGL initiatives- NEVER! Yet, throughout the bible, we see the covenant spoken of between the merging of man and woman, nothing else. There is so much more on this subject, but in every study, discussion, argument I have heard, homosexuality just doesn't fit and repeatedly it is found to be unacceptable to God.

Since you seem to take the bible literally; how do you take this scripture:
Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to DWELL together in unity! :)
The bible is like a road map for our lives, before Christ came and fulfilled the Mosaic Law, that road map was more like a wilderness road. After Christ came and fulfilled the Mosaic Law and created a New Covenant, that old wilderness road map was updated with new interstates showing you how to get to the same destination without all of the difficulty that the wilderness road caused.
Unfortunately some people feel that the wilderness road is the safer (traditional) route and cause themselves and others great distress.
Although the roadmap is very detailed, it is not going to show you every individual home. You will make it home with the key to life, LOVING your neighbor as you LOVE yourself.
There are many things in this life that are not addressed in the bible, however the bible does not speak evil of Adoption agencies, cellular phones, the internet, airplanes, railroads, automobiles, the postal system, etc, etc, etc there is such a thing as progression.

Hummm. The Captain is very interesting....Anyway, I totally agree with you, you son of a bishop. I don't think any man/woman you rely on any man/woman to tell them if God loves them. That is something you have to find out for yourself. "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tell me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but He is strong." The song says it all. We are all "little ones", who are weak in comparison. If we count on other people to tell us when we are loved we can go our entire life times feeling hated. Peace.
No matter how anyone try to justify homosexuality through the disguise of love, if we love God, we should follow his commandments. Furthermore, we should live each day living within our true Christ-like nature, His holiness, which homosexuality cannot dwell.
The brethren are those in body of Christ, jointly fitted together, knowing the realization of true salvation. These are for the redeemed, the ones that dwell in Zion, the high place where God and His holy nature dwell and judge inquity, sin, death, hell and all impurity.

First of all, homosexuality does not have to be justified disguised with Love because God is Love, Love is is Pure. For we are already justified by our faith in Jesus Christ. Secondly, I have already clearly laid out the scriptural truth and proof through out this site that there is no commandment against homosexuality in the new testament/new covenant.
Jesus Christ who is the reason for Christianity never said one negative word about homosexuality.
Very good, Captain, just like you very intelligently and historically explained that scripture Psalm 133:1 and put it in perspective and in it's proper and relevant context. Now I would like to see you take these very few scriptures in the new testament of the bible that addresses same sex lust and the word effeminate; You should now use your intelligence to research those scriptures historically and put them in perspective with relevance of the subject matter. Romans 1st chapter; 2nd Corinthians 6th chapter and 1st Timothy 1st Chapter.
The reason why I am saying the new testament of the bible; I believe that we agree that we are not living under the Mosaic Laws of the old testament.
All "love" is not pure. I will be happy to further explain and prove how homsexuality is wrong, but this is a limited forum for that.
Lastly, intelligence, finite knowledge and research in meditating on scriptures are worthless. The mysteries of the word of God is unlocked by prayer, fasting and revelation by the Spirit, not our carnal minds. I find many people make this mistake and draw out fallacies, which is why some people feel that homosexuality is acceptable because they have no spirit of discernment to know spiritually what is right and what is wrong.

If it is truly love, it is pure.
I certainly encourage you and any one else to pray and fast for new revelation on this subject matter; that is exactly what I did for many years. That is why I have such a passion to share the Love of Christ from the revelation and the endowment that I have received from the Lord.
Clearly the traditionalist are only reading with limited intelligence and limited knowledge and refuse to open their hearts and minds to the revelation that is being brought forth because it does not seem to agree with their traditional religious mind set.
What is considered, "truly" love? You said "love" is pure. So, are you saying that "some" love is also impure? Could it be that "love" in general, no matter which type is "always" pure?

Greeting fellas this website was mentioned to me by a friend of mine, because I shared my beliefs on this matter with him. He found it hard to believe that I could think that homosexuality is a sin...well I do based on several scripture references 1 cor 6:9-10
in particular. I like most of the men on this blog sleep with other men. I have love for other men that I've come to understand as being a false love. Because real love would not have me to cause my "brother" to sin. I read a couple of comments so I'll give my two cents. I hear a lot of talk about love well Jesus said if you love me you'll keep my commandments John 14:15...sleeping with men is not one of his commandments. He even goes a little further John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
It's time for us to stop playing and fight for what is right. I would rather live a celebate life and try to keep the commandments Jesus set out for us than to acquiesce to this thing that has us bound. We are all bound. All of us who practice homosexuality. If we are not fighting we are bound. Jesus did not say this life would be easy...but if we succumb to his yoke he makes our load light. To stop having sex is the hardest thing that I have ever tried to do. That's when I knew this thing was deeper than my sexual need and feelinga...I challenge every brother to ask himself why he has chosen to live this life....because it is a choice even when yo think that it not it is. There are reason we practice homosexuality....what are yours? I guarantee you if you search through your hearts and mind you'll understand that it is a choice. If you love Jesus and His Father Jehovah God you'll think twice about your choices. Let's stop for a minute and read the scriptures in clarity....study to show ourselves approved and stop misinterpreting them or interpreting them at all.

It is very evident that you missed the entire point of this site.
Anytime that you read the bible or any book you are going to read it and interpret it based on your comprehension and understanding. (Most religious church people allow their ministers and their church leaders to determine the way the scriptures are interpreted, they read verbatim without really studying for themselves) We should be like the Bereans, Acts: 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
It seems that you don't believe in that...
A traditional interpretation of the scriptures and religious customs does not make something right or wrong. To sensationalize your interpretations of the scriptures on homosexuality with repetitious jargon about being bound by not fighting homosexuality and placing it in the same category of the sins that will keep you out of heaven does not establish truth and reality:
II Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.
(if you really study)“effeminate” was speaking of male prostitutes and that “abusers of themselves with mankind” the definition of mankind is all human beings. The word homosexual was not added to one of the many versions of the bible until 1946.
Let me ask you, what are the commandments that Jesus gave?
Yes we should love him and keep his commandments, Amen.
To answer your question. First of all homosexuality or heterosexuality is not "SEX" One does make a choice to have sex however it is not your choice if you are heterosexual or homosexual.
I encourage you to read Matthew 19:12 What are eunuchs? This is something that Jesus said.

I did not miss the point of your blogsite. If I'm not mistaking it is to help those find peace with being homosexual. Or shall I say for one to think that homosexuality is not a sin. It is my opinion and only my opinion that your interpretation on the scriptures regarding (msm)are totally one sided and misinterpreted. I think you should look at Acts 17:11 again it seems like you like to search the scriptures, but you're missing it. While you're at look at 1 Cor 6:9 (correction for u)again. Lets say that that scripture did not mention "effeminate" or "homosexual offender" you still have fornicators and anyone male or female that have sex outside of marriage will not inherit God's Kingdom....so it does not matter if the word homosexual was put in the bible in 1946 or not...the sex (having)is wrong and there is no way you can get around that. You asked the question what were Jesus's commandments....well let me say this it has been my experience that we as homosexuals focus our attention to the sermon on the mount or to all the "red words" written in the bible and exclude other instructions given from his apostles. Why? Because it's easy. Jesus Christ was with Jehovah God since before the beginning of time. He named all the animal ect...you know the story I'm sure. My point is you can't negate what Paul said or any other person God used to give us instructions on biblical living. The greek term theopnuestos (chk/spelling)means God breath. If Jesus is the word and the word as we know it is written in the 66 books of the bible. Then every last word written in the Bible should be succumb too. Especially if it is to benefit us. My last point is this... one does make a choice to have "SEX" now you may feel/think/know that you are this way for whatever reason. I personally believe that I was born this way. But understand this Jesus told Nicodemus that you have to be born again. I'm not trying to judge in know way, and I'm definitely not trying to act like I've arrived. I would even agree with you that homosexuality is not wrong. However if you lie down with a man to have sex with him that in itself is wrong. You can't help who you love but you can have self control when it come to fornication and there is no scripture reference that says marraige if for the same sex.We need to stop trying to fit the bible in our lives...and start fitting into the bible.

Let me say this, I welcome your comments and the dialog that we are having, mainly due to the fact that you are struggling with your sexuality. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and your traditional interpretations of the scriptures on the subject matter of homosexuality.
After many years of struggling, denial, feeling rejected, fasting and praying and going along with the traditional interpretations of the bible and constantly asking God to change my nature. I began to study for myself along with sincere fasting and praying. I stopped asking God to change me and began to pray "Thy Will Be Done in My Life". God began to give me divine peace and revelation about myself and his word plus he opened my eyes to a world of other Same Gender Loving People who truly loves the Lord. Yes I am born again.
I could have kept my freedom and peace with God to myself and went on my way. However God placed this scripture in my heart when Jesus was talking to Simon: Luke 22:31"Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers." So this is what I am doing, Strengthening my brothers and sisters. Thus you have this blogspot and my little book entitled, Son of a Bishop, My Testimony.
By the way I have not and will not ever negate anything what Paul or any other person in the bible that God used to give instructions for biblical living.
Clearly we are not living under the Mosaic Law that forbids the eating of shrimp, catfish, and pork. The law would allow slavery to thrive, disobedient children, unfaithful women and homosexuals to be stoned and a host of highly undesirable practices would take place.
Galatians 5:4 For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.
Here are a few points for you to ponder. There are far many more scriptures in the bible that supports slavery (even in the new testament) than there are that opposes homosexuality, however slavery had to be abolished for this day and time. You can't abolish homosexuality from ones heart, only God can if he chooses too.
Jesus addressed eunuchs (which seems to be homosexuals) at the same time when he was addressing marriage and divorce. Matthew 19:11All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

You will not get the answers for your life from just simply reading the bible and listening to other people, you have to read and study with sincere prayer and supplication.

son of a bishop you are absolutely right. Wisdom is the principle thing and I thank god for it. I choose to believe what the word says so when the time comes for righteous judgement I'll be prepared. The question is will you and will others like you. Like I said before I'm just like you somewhat. I have no problem with saying I'm gay but I do have a problem with staying this way. I respect you for your point..but God word is still alive today and will remain. It's not changing.
P.S. I'm not struggling with my sexuality....I know I like men been knowing it for a long time now. Don't make it right though.

It is so important to read and study the bible in context of the historical climate and the actual story that is occurring. (Please take out the time to read the ENTIRE 1st chapter of Romans) The initial part of this letter is written to the saints at Rome, Paul was longing to see and speak with them in order to impart spiritual gifts to make them strong. Paul also proclaimed the wrath of God on the people who knew God for all-of-his wonderful works and miracles that were manifested before them however; they made a concerted decision to snub God and not to worship him. They wanted instant gratification and decided to worship graven images that they shaped with their hands; they began to worship animals and reptiles. So therefore God turned them over to themselves; they lusted after each other and had sex with each other, their genders did not matter. They also lusted after all of the materials things of this world and they received the mentality that goes along with God -haters. Some bible scholars advise that; what Paul was referring to was homosexual temple prostitution. This scripture does not apply to God(worshipping)fearing people who were born naturally with spiritual, mental and physical emotions for the same gender.
My heart really goes out to you and people like you who are struggling or NOT struggling with your sexuality and spirituality. You are strongly convinced of the traditional customary interpretations of the scriptures that you constantly regurgitate; you refuse to even consider that God may be trying to free you from the bondage of your mind. I feel as though I am trying to convince a former slave that slavery is over. Again your homosexuality does not have to be intertwined with sexual promiscuity and fornication.
It is very evident that this site is not for you and at this point it seems fruitless to continue this dialog. (I really hope and pray that it was fruitful)
