Old Time Religion Does Not Represent the True Legacy of Jesus Christ

The Fundamentalist Christian Religious Rhetoric that is often spewed so freely on the subject matter of homosexuality does NOT represent the true legacy of Jesus Christ. Demonizing people who were born homosexual has become a central rallying point for the Fundamentalist Christian Religious agenda.

The Fundamentalist Christian Community knows full well that
we are not living under the Mosaic/Levitical Law; we are living under the New Covenant of Jesus Christ; Jesus Christ who is the Son of God and who is the reason and the definition of Christianity does not condemn homosexuality. Even Apostle Paul does NOT define homosexuality as sin; 1st Corinthians 6:9 only condemns male prostitution and we simply don't know what arsenokoitai (abusers of themselves with mankind) means when you interpret those scriptures historically correct.
Romans 1st chapter was an indictment against a sect of people who whole-heartedly and purposefully turned their backs on God to worship idol Gods which has nothing to do with one's innate sexuality.

The Fundamentalist Christian Religious rhetoric on homosexuality does not represent the Jesus Christ of the bible or the Spirit of Truth; they are acting out as the very religious hypocritical Pharisees of the bible who opposed the ministry of Jesus Christ when he walked this earth. They clang to tradition and Old Time Religion, cherry picking from the Old Testament's Mosaic/Levitical Laws for the sake of religious tradition. I am encouraging you to look to Jesus Christ and to live as Jesus Christ (study his life) who is THE perfect example of the Real Christian.

Approximately 7 or 8 years ago when I was on a soul searching mission of my life; I ran across a book that revolutionized my world.
The book starts like this:

To lesbian and gay men who believe in a good God and reverence the Bible and who also want to believe in themselves

That book is entitled "What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality"
by Daniel A. Helminiak, Ph.D.

I encourage you to click on this link and be truly blessed

I will admit that the church has failed at offering Christian ministry to the homosexual/lesbian community. It has oscillated between two equally destructive extremes. BUT It saddens me whenever I here anyone trying to twist scripture to make it fit their particular worldview; whatever it is. My heart breaks for homosexuals who are literally being LIED to by those who declare what they are doing is not a sin. Adding information or references to this book or from very loose interpretations from bible passages do very little to take away from the truth that homosexuality/lesbianism/fornication/adultery & all kinds of sexual sins are just that, SIN; No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You have to twist scripture and make it somehow say (especially in the original language) that same sex monogamous relationships are permitted. You keep bringing up slavery. First off this has NOTHING to do with your argument. Christ did not speak directly against slavery either. But since you brought it up. The American system of slavery finds no justification in scripture. Be careful not to confuse what the bible describes and what the bible prescribes for us to do or not to do. This confusion leads to numerous misinterpretations of scripture even on the part of scholars. Please do not ignore a clear prohibition on ALL SEXUAL SIN in Romans 1 (Verses 22-32). This passage also ties these sexual sins to idolatry. This is in a general sense and in a specific sense. This passage also explains how people can be deceived into thinking these behaviors are o.k. When you willingly & consistently participate in degrading passions (NASB) in an unrepentant fashion, you are asking God to give you over to them. Having Ph.D's affirm your position does not give your position validity. These unnatural acts are classified as sin. Scientifically homosexuality/lesbianism are UNNATURAL because NO reproduction can take place between genetically SAME SEX UNIONS. Yes people have been cruel to homosexuals/lesbians but the most cruel thing is to tell the outright LIE that their behavior is alright and even sanctioned by scripture.

Pastor Craige, I see that you have a great command of the English Language but with all due respect it does not excuse your blatent disregard for bible truths in lieu of the Traditional Religious Interpretation of what really happened in Romans 1st chapter; you're still disregarding why that scripture reads the way it does Romans 1st chapter was an indictment against of sect of people who whole-heartedly and purposefully turned their backs on God to worship idol Gods which has nothing to do with one's innate sexuality. The Traditional Interpretation of the scriptures of this subject matter are clearly guilty of the Twisting Factor; your interpretations are based on taking a few scriptures that point out Sexual acts and then you pontificate and sensationalize the horror of those Sexual Acts and then you conveniently leave out the history of the entire chapter; that is what Traditional Religion has done with the 1st chapter of Romans in the name of God for the sake of Religious Tradition. What I am doing is bringing out the entire truth and nothing but biblical truth. There are no lies to be told when you disclose Real Truth instead Sensationalized Religious Tradition. It truly saddens me that you refer to anything outside of your slanted interpretation as Lies.(the Pharisees keeps coming to my mind) Our American History on slavery certainly used the scripture to justify slavery. Slavery has everything to do with my argument because it can clearly be justified depending on how you interpret the scriptures; again our American History certainly justified slavery by using the bible. Traditional Religion uses the bible the same way to justify demonizing people who are and were born homosexual by using fear and intimidation of the Traditional Religious Doctrine instead of telling Complete Bible Truths. Pastor Craige, the truth is the truth if it comes from a person with a Ph.D or if it comes from a person with a G.E.D. Again Jesus Christ who is the Son of God and who is the reason and the definition of Christianity does not condemn homosexuality. Even Apostle Paul does NOT define homosexuality as sin; 1st Corinthians 6:9 only condemns male prostitution and rape when you interpret those scriptures historically correct. Pastor Craige, traditional religion does not make anything right just because you and the Traditional Religious Establishment says so. GOD IS.

Son of a Bishop, I am sure that I cannot convince you, nor can you convince me. What is important to point out is what scripture says. What basis are you using to come up with your interpretation? It is clear using the science of biblical interpretation (not my view) it is that unbelief in any area leads to all kinds of vile passions. Homosexuality/Lesbianism are a result of unbelief about God's design for life in the human family (NOT MY VIEW ABOUT GOD'S DESIGN; SEE GEN. 1). I stand absolutely nothing to gain by having this dialogue with you but you stand to gain justification for yours and other's behavior. Again, slavery still has absolutely nothing to do with your argument. First, you have to understand the scriptures about slavery in their context. The bible has been misused to excuse all kinds of things. The idea is what does it say. The bible calls homosexuality a sin. In 1 Cor. 6:9 the word
homosexual(s)translates in the Greek to Arsenokoitai-which literally translates to sleep with men sexually. So how can you say that the bible does not call homosexuality a sin? How an I twisting scripture? You are the one who gains by twisting scripture. You and others like you gain by continuing to live as you want. I do not want to live like I want, I seek only to live as Christ desires for me.

Pastor Craige, You are absolutely correct saying that what is most important is what the scriptures says; I am interpreting the scripture as a born again Christian who truly loves the Lord Jesus with all of my heart filled with the Holy Spirit of Truth; I take my relationship with the Lord very serious and I truly believe that one should study to show thyself approved and I also believe in Acts 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Now
you made a strange statement:

"It is clear using the science of biblical interpretation (not my view) it is that unbelief in any area leads to all kinds of vile passions. Homosexuality/Lesbianism are a result of unbelief about God's design for life in the human family (NOT MY VIEW ABOUT GOD'S DESIGN; SEE GEN. 1)."

I am not sure what the science of biblical interpretation is however, my research and studys are not scientific at all; it is a matter prayerfully reading the bible with the understanding (researching the history of greek/hebrew definitions certainly not scientific)of what happened in the bible stories and learning how to apply the lesson to my daily life.

I completely disagree with you regarding your "Unbelief" statements.
As you try to secure those statements with Genesis the 1st chapter.

Pastor Craig you should already know that marriage and being fruitful and multiplying is not for everyone; Mathew 19:11 (Jesus was previously talking about marriage and divorce)But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Hopefully you have done an exaustive study on eunuchs. Here is one study; there are many out there. http://www.well.com/user/aquarius/contents.htm

This what Paul had to say:
1 Corinthians 7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul does not call homosexuality sin.

*****As for arsenokoitai, Greek scholars don’t know exactly what it
means—and the fact that we don’t know is a big part of this tragic
debate. Some scholars believe Paul was coining a name to refer to
the customers of “the effeminate call boys.” We might call them
“dirty old men.” Others translate the word as “sodomites,” but
never explain what that means.
In 1958, for the first time in history, a person translating that
mysterious Greek word into English decided it meant homosexuals,
even though there is, in fact, no such word in Greek or Hebrew. But
that translator made the decision for all of us that placed the word
homosexual in the English-language Bible for the very first time *****

****** There is no recorded use of "Arsenkoites" prior to its appearance in 1 Cor 6:9. English translators traditionally have related it to Sodomites. There is a double irony to this since, as it is now generally recognized, Sodomites were not punished for homosexuality. The claim this word means homosexual, defies linguistic evidence and common sense. "Koites" generally denotes licentious sexual activities, and corresponds to the active person in intercourse. The prefix "Arsen", simply means "male". It could mean a male that has sex with lots of women. Paul made up a new word. A biblical scholar when a word is unknown, looks for similar greek words to find a possible meaning. Boswell concludes Paul writing in Koine Greek, took a word from Attic Greek combined with a word from Old Testament Greek to mean the active male prostitute.*****

Pastor Craige I still say:
STUDY & INTERPRET the bible HISTORICALLY Correct. STUDY: learn about a subject by reading and researching. INTERPRET:to establish or explain the meaning/significance of something.HISTORY:the past events of a period in time or in the life or development of a people, an institution, or place. *Quote scripture within context of the matter*CONTEXT:circumstances or events that form the environment within which something exists or takes place.

Pastor Craige hopefully you will gain something from this dialog. You are twisting the scriptures by trying to make them say something that they do NOT. I am only shedding light on what the scriptures really say outside of the Traditional Religious Interpretation of Religious Hype and Fervor which has nothing to do with who and why God made some to be homosexual and some heterosexual. My goal is to minister to the homosexual about the peace and freedom that they can have in Christ Jesus and to minister to the people who imprison homosexuals. God knows what he is doing; Traditional Religious people just DONT trust that he does. It took me a long time to fully surrender to God and to have peace about not being heterosexual and knowing that I could be used of him just as I am; with a surrendered heart, soul and mind.
I was on a path of trying to deceive myself and others about my God-given sexuality in order to fit into the "religious society" and the "society of the moral majority" until God helped me to see that he didn't make a mistake of the millions of people that are homosexual and that he desires for us all to worship him in Spirit and in Truth. He also reminded me that his yolk is easy and his burden is light.

"...God made some to be homosexual and some heterosexual."

Oh, so God made you to have what Rom. 1:26-27 clearly calls unnatural? How does that work? It is a common to explain away these passages by claiming they are talking about male prostitutes. That is why the manuscript evidence points to both the condemnation of males prostitutes and homosexual offenders in 1 Cor. 6:9 in most modern translations. Genesis established the clear order for natural sexual relationships for human beings. (Christ affirmed with this order for male and female sexual relationships in marriage throughout the gospels; see Matt.19:4-6) Natural means follows the laws of nature for the purposes of procreation/reproduction. I never once said marriage is for everyone. That is why Paul clarified that if you cannot abstain from sex to get married. It is a dangerous thing to claim God made you be what his word calls unnatural. You are obviously extremely intelligent and I have enjoyed this dialogue. I have never once condemned you nor have I been disrespectful. I have merely raised questions and concerns from the scriptures. As a matter of fact, I care enough about you and those you impact to share in this dialogue with you. Thank you for your time please feel free to use these arguments with others in attempts to refute them. The true power of God will be manifested in the results.

Pastor Craige,

Just to let you know that I appreciate you for taking the time out of your schedule to dialogue and I also respect the tenor of this conversation.

Pastor Craige, the people in the story of Romans 1st chapter made a conscience and calculated decision to turn their backs on God to worship idols.
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever Amen.26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions.

Pastor Craige, performing wild sexual acts by exchanging and leaving the natural use for their innate sexuality to participate in same sex vile/shameful orgies has nothing to do with ones innate sexuality.

Romans 1:21 is predicated upon 1:18and I would have done… Verse 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things in order to receive Verse 24.

Here is a definition of nature: The intrinsic or essential qualities of somebody or something.

1st Corinthians 6:9 (King James Version)tells us that male prostitutes and rapist and etc. will not inherit the kingdom of God when you translate those key words from that scripture from the Greek/Hebrew dictionary.
Pastor Craige you have already agreed that it is the modern translations of the bible that has changed the keywords of abusers of themselves with mankind to homosexual offenders which is a very (anti-homosexual) biased translation even though there is, in fact, no such word in Greek or Hebrew.
Prior to the 1946 Revised Standard of the Bible; the word homosexual was never printed in the Bible until then.

Pastor Craige, you said "Natural means follows the laws of nature for the purposes of procreation/reproduction" someone on the GCMW page made the point that you would also have to include couples who are past childbearing age, couples who have been sterilized, couples who are biologically unable to reproduce, and people who abstain from sex altogether — because reproduction is impossible in all of these situations. He made a very valid point.

I am assuming that you are heterosexual; so as a heterosexual man or woman, you did not have a choice in determining your sexuality and as a homosexual man I didn't have a choice in determining my sexuality. We may have a choice in how we behave with our sexuality.

Pastor Craige as you mention Mathew 19:4-6 as Jesus was speaking about marriage and divorce and in the same breathe while he was speaking on that subject matter, he also said in verse 11; But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Hopefully you have done an exaustive study on eunuchs. Here is one study; there are many out there. http://www.well.com/user/aquarius/contents.htm

Your innate sexuality; be it heterosexual or homosexual is not sin neither is mine. There is plenty of sin to combat everyday instead of fighting against your God-given nature. Why do I say God-given nature? I will personalize my belief:
I truly Love the Lord with all of my heart and I live for him and my sexuality has been with me since childhood just as my love for the Lord has been with me since childhood. Please believe me that I tried to pray it away and fast it away and stepped into prayer lines to have it casted away. I never had any desire to be or act as a woman; I love being the man that God made me to be.
God requires honesty and accountability. In spite of all of the many years of trying to make sense of the Traditional Religious Rhetoric and the negativity about homosexuality; I have never let that seperate me from the love that the Lord and I share for each other; our relationship has grown and it is getting better day by day.

This is the exact problem with our church, the historic scriptural truths are ignored and the souls of the people who are or were born homosexual are sacrificed for Tradition and man-made doctrine and will call anyone or anything evil that may question your interpretation of scripture.

Our Lord God is the final authoritarian on this subject matter.

Wow this is scarey!! Son of a bishop, I'm praying for you! It's clear that the devil has s vessel to use to corrupt the minds of believers and unbelievers on the matter of homosexuality! You seem to know a lot of scripture and your responses seem to be well thought out, however what comes from the heart reaches the heart and the heart of the matter is quoting all these scriptures ain't gonna get you past standing before the Lord with an answer! What exactly are you gonna do when you get to heaven, flirt with Moses?! Are you serious! I'm more concerned that you want to be a voice to let the world know, "It's o.k. to be gay!""I'll help you live with your innate sexuality!" Be for real! I believe you know deep down inside that that lifestyle is a sin, but you found a loophole in scripture and you running with it. "Don't add to it, don't take from it!" IT IS A FLESH DEMON! DON'T ALLOW THE DEVIL TO TAKE THE INTELLIGENT MIND YOU HAVE AND TWIST IT FOR HIS GLORY! DON'T YOU REALIZE YOU ARE HELPING HIM BUILD HIS KINGDOM?!You know scripture, what does it say about these last days....you know the word, you've searched the scriptures, now search your soul!

To Anonymous,
How dare I speak unadulterated biblical truth on the subject matter of homosexuality! I guess that I am being used as vessel for the devil due to speaking biblical truth on this subject matter so says you and many others? If you would really search and understand those scriptures prayerfully, historically and spiritually get over the fact that I am breaking a "Religious Tradition" which has nothing to do with the "Spirit of Truth" by actually laying out the truth of what the bible really says about homosexuality; debunking all of the Traditional Religious myths and rhetoric that has infiltrated our sanctuarys and communitys for centuries. You will then see that I am simply expressing biblical truth (not adding or taking anything away)of what I know that God has placed in my heart to share and encourage God's people who are or were born homosexual to live as Jesus Christ and take spiritual responsibility as we live within our God given innate sexuality. Look, truth is truth; there are no scriptural loop holes on homosexuality; God created us all and he knows all of the intricate details and design for each one of us and he desires for us to worhip him in spirit and in truth which has nothing to do with a bunch of man made Traditional Religious Rhetoric and and the emotional fervor and whodo that goes along with it.

Just to let you know that I have allowed God to search my heart soul and mind and he has given me a peace that surpasses the understanding of the harm that the Traditonal Religious Community inflicts on anyone who dares to step on the toes of their Traditional Religious Traditions.

It's amazing that once you and others see that I will not become compliant to your Traditions and then you judge me and I become damned by you and warned that I will be casted in the lake of fire which has absolutely nothing to do with the blessings that I am receiving from the Lord God who is the Spirit of Truth.

To suggest that God created homosexuals is an insult to only wise true God. In the creation(the beginning)God created man in His own image! In the image and likeness of God He created him (Gen. 1:27). So what are you saying about God's image? Every time I read about a homosexual act in the bible, death followed, ex. Sodom & Gomorrah! Please direct me in scripture to were homosexuality is justified! Judging you; never! So you're saying homosexuality is a tradition the church created? Or a lifestyle you chose and want the church to accept. KILL, STEAL, AND DESTROY! He's doing his job! What actually happened to you? Why do you think you were born that way? Acceptance is a part of the healing process; you've accepted that you are a homosexual what's next....repentance maybe? That's 1 of the problems with the church we tag all this ungodly behavior as a sickness, or as you say tradition when it ain't nothing but a SIN! How then with this LIFESTYLE of sinful living do you live a delivered life? Remember Obama's campaign slogan, "CHANGE!"

I just saw your youtube site. Boy are you sick. You be careful, you are responsible for every soul you encourage to except a lifestyle that is contrary to the will of God! The bible says its better to tie a stone around your neck and jump in the river than to steer wrong a soul. You said homosexuality is not a sin that we don't live under that law any more so is that reason to justify this lifestyle. You even look uncomfortable as if you were trying to "make sense" of your sexuality! The bible speaks against it whether it was old testament or new. The old gives us the foundation, the history. All that didn't go away because we live under grace(Jesus) we are still held accountable. That's your lifestyle, live it in secret! I don't care how "historic" you study a sin is just that SIN!

To Anonymous,

Let's keep things in perspective of what the scriptures actually say and what they actually mean outside of your skewed understanding of what defines homosexuality. The definition of heterosexuality is:sexual desire or sexual relations between people of opposite sexes. The definition of homosexuality is: sexual attraction to or sexual relations with somebody of the same sex. For you to suggest that there is some type of evil and that God has nothing to do with Heterosexuality and Homosexuality when he created human beings really displays the limitations of your little religious mind which will only cling to the comforts of man made prejudicial judgements which pales in comparison of the Great God of this universe. Please understand that the lust of the flesh and not having self-control when it comes to the flesh does not define Heterosexuality or Homosexuality.

1 Samuel 18:1 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

3 Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.

4And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.

1 Samuel 20:4 Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee.

17And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.

41And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded

2 Samuel 1:26 I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

Matthew 19:12
(The words of Jesus) For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. What are eunuchs? http://www.well.com/user/aquarius/contents.htm An interesting study by Malik Faris.

We need not to repent for our God given authenticity however, we all should repent daily of our many shortcomings.

To Anonymous,
I never said that homosexuality is a tradition that the church created; I am saying that defining homosexuality as sin is a tradition that the church created. The word homosexuality was placed in the newer versions of bible within the last 50-60 years in order to concrete the churches biases against homosexuality.

The sexual act that would have happened in the story Sodom and Gomorrah would have been about power and rape which has nothing to do with homosexuality or heterosexuality for that matter when Lot offered up his daughters to be raped by the men of that town.

Ezekiel 16:49Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom , pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Just know that the Greatest Lie of all organized religion of defining homosexuality as sin is not justified before God just because the master minds of organized religion have peice-milled and sensationalized scriptures and biblical customs together in order to solidify their stance in the minds of the masses.

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

2nd Corinthian 3:14But their minds were blinded; for until this day the same veil remaineth untaken away in the reading of the old testament, which veil is done away with in Christ.

15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their hearts.

***The discomfort that you see on my face on the video is simply discomfort being in front of the camera for the first time.***

By the way I am living a Victorious Life in Jesus Christ.

Glad you're living a victorious life, that's why Christ came and died so that we may have life more abundantly, still all your scriptures, explanations, research; doesn't do it for me, I think you're taking scripture out of context, but that's my opinion; you're dealing with a stronghold and you're gonna have to answer for that just as I will for the strongholds in my life! Pray for me and I will continue to pray for you. Deliverance will surely come!

Son of a Bishop said...

Anonymous,

I thank you and appreciate your prayers and I will certainly keep you in my prayers.

Scripture does not condemn sexuality; it condemns the ills of one's sexuality such as promiscuity and prostitution for females as well as males.

Deliverance will surely come when one learns to accept the truth of their sexuality which is an innate design by the Creator and that they did not have a choice in the matter.
You can certainly choose to marry or experience your sexuality in or outside of your innate sexuality; One can certainly choose to lie or fool themselves and others; but God knows the very essense of your being.
Deliverance will surely come when the scriptures that are used to condemn sexuality are soberly interpreted outside of the Traditional Religious Hype and Fervor of man-made doctrine and denomination.

Mark said...

I am saying that defining homosexuality as sin is a tradition that the church created.

100% of the verses addressing homosexual behavior denounce it as sin in the strongest possible terms.

100% of the verses referencing God’s ideal for marriage involve one man and one woman.

100% of the verses referencing parenting involve moms and dads with unique roles (or at least a set of male and female parents guiding the children).

0% of 31,102 Bible verses refer to homosexual behavior in a positive or even benign way or even hint at the acceptability of homosexual unions.

Son of a Bishop said...

Mark,

Your interpretations are based on taking a few scriptures that point out Sexual acts and then you pontificate and sensationalize the horror of those Sexual Acts and then you conveniently leave out the history of the entire chapter; that is what Traditional Religion has done with those 6 scriptures in the name of God for the sake of Religious Tradition.

Scripture does not condemn sexuality; it condemns the ills of one's sexuality such as promiscuity and prostitution for females as well as males.

Please read the posting titled; What Does the Bible really say about Homosexuality Part 2.

Mark said...

sensationalize the horror of those Sexual Acts and then you conveniently leave out the history

One need not “sensationalize” the horror of sexual immorality, both physical and spiritual. God’s Truths are built into creation itself, natural order. Just as a child need not be taught how to steal before they steal, a grown man need not be taught that same sex relationships are outside God’s order. Both the child and man know it is wrong, yet without God’s act, will remain blind.

To suggest I read a post about what the Bible “really” says about sin and God’s ordained plan for sexual relationships, is to suggest God’s word is insufficient. I hope you see the utter irony in your accusations of me using the traditions of men over God’s word. Is the utter clarity of God’s word offensive to you sir? If not, why then do you seek outside sources to confirm your desires about what God says or does not say about homosexuality? If you’re honest, you will say the Biblical record is insufficient, which contradicts God.

Make no mistake, it those who remained steadfast to God’s word (unlike folks like yourself) that have opposed the traditions of men; both against the Roman papists and those who remained silent over human slavery. Repent and believe sir.

Son of a Bishop said...

Mark, God's truths are indeed built into creation itself.

The Testimony Of Jesus - Our Lord Recognized Three Kinds Of Eunuchs, Matthew 19:11-12
11But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Eunuchs so born from their mother’s womb. These eunuchs, according to Jesus, were born that way. They did not make a personal choice to be eunuchs and they were not physically castrated by men. Some Christians believe these men were homosexual eunuchs.

Eunuchs made so by men via physical castration. These eunuchs were physically castrated and could not consummate marriage.

Eunuchs who made a personal choice to be eunuchs, by abstaining from marriage, for the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus distinguishes the third class of eunuchs, who made a choice to be eunuchs, from the first class, who did not make a choice to be eunuchs.

According to Jesus, born eunuchs are exempt from the Adam and Eve style, heterosexual marriage paradigm. The common traditionalist tendency is to read into that exemption that all eunuchs must therefore be celibate, an assertion Jesus never makes. (The above commentary is courtesy of Gay Christian 101)

Mark, please stop the dramatics and please stop trying to place words in my mouth; God's word is very sufficient and not offensive to me at all for I love him and his word. When I referred you to the posting on this/my blogsite entitled "What Does the Bible Really say about Homosexuality Part 2" I was referring you to that posting because it is loaded with scripture on the subject matter and it also addresses homosexual unions.

Hopefully you will indeed remain steadfast to God's word and oppose the traditions of men.
